I am not a basketball fan ! However Kobe Bryant’s legacy lives on in all of us and is untarnished in my opinion. But I am not sorry for the decision I am making to cancel doing the book review for Oprah’s newest book selection “American Dirt” and for the review of “Between the World and Me”.
Due to recent statements made and recent revelations in the media I feel its only fair to not continue with my reviews for this months selections.
My full support, love and prayers towards the Bryant Family and all families of the helicopter crash is 100 percent and forever.

But with good conscience, I cannot act as if the question about Kobe was okay and that those supporting this type of questioning is okay to just go on and support because its not okay.
The question should have never been raised at all period especially knowing his family and the world is in mourning as well as Black History Month being upon us.
It was disrespectful, rude, inconsiderate, inappropriate and unconscionable.
I have watched the last few days to see what would be said by Gayle, Oprah and Ta-nehisi and instead of seeing why people felt the way they did and saying that what was said was wrong, the script was flipped to who was saying what and how, CBS, the clip, Black Oppression and everything else but that IT WAS WRONG TO ASK PERIOD.

….and if your going to illustrate heinous crimes do so for the Black and White race…and all races for that matter equally. It is downright sickening that only BLACK MEN GET LASHED OUT AT AND NOT THEIR WHITE OR OTHER COUNTERPARTS.
I attempted to send this to Ta-nehisi however his comments have been limited due to his own input on his page which is his right.
I will be praying for all for Black History month and continuing my podcast efforts for this month. I have nothing against anyone and I will be continuing to SPREAD LOVE AND NOT HATE regardless because I LOVE THE LORD AND OUR WORLD.
If things change in the future I will let everyone know but as for now this month its all CANCELLED !!!!
