Things I would tell my younger self

Life with Lizzie

Hello everyone!

I recently wrote a post about body confidence and first and foremost would just like to say thank you for all the support and kind words. It was incredibly heart-warming and so lovely to hear all the nice words which you all had to say. It made writing that difficult post, somewhat easier. Thank you! Anyway, whilst thinking about that part of my childhood, I began thinking about things that I wish I had known or things that I would now go back and tell my younger self. Therefore, today I am going to share with you all some advice I wish I would have known being a teenager in school and hopefully some of you will be able to relate or it might even help some of you!

  1. Popularity doesn’t matter – I feel like most us all struggle with this. For whatever reason, there is a…

How Do I Know That Money Is Overrated?

Bed, Blessings, Cash, Deceptive, Deflation, How Do I Know That Money Is Overrated?, Inflation, Love, Money, Oppression, Rejoice, Selfishness, Treasure, Twitter

1. Money cannot deliver you from oppression. Only the power of God brings complete and true delivery from the oppressor.
2. I have never heard that money told a lame man “Arise, take up thy bed and walk.”
3. Deflation and Inflation constantly fluctuate the value of money.
4. In times of war all the money invested to buy military artillery cannot ensure victory. Victory comes only from God. This is confirmed in Proverbs 21:31.
5. Money attracts many false friends.
6. Money cannot cast out demons.
7. The love of money breaks down society by first destroying the core of any civilization — members of the family unit. Proverbs 15:27 shows how the love of money brings only ruin to any home.
8. Simply having lots of cash on you makes you an automatic robbery target.
9. While the poor look on the rich and envy their extravagant lifestyles…

I smile

Aesthetic Miradh

“Why are you smiling?” people have often asked me this to which I mostly do not have an answer. Well, call me crazy but it happens with me and I do not even feel anything weird about it. I mean what’s the harm in smiling?

There isn’t. Rather it is an exercise which reduces all your stress. It may be difficult to smile at difficult times and you might not even feel like giving yourself a good big smile but just try it once. It feels wonderful. We all have those bad days when we cry, we fight, we are moody, and we do not want to talk to anyone, when things are just not our way, when the world seems to go just against you, when everything conspires against you but just this one smile, please?

I smile every day, even on such rough days; especially on such rough…

Once in a  while you have forgotten the benefits you reaped from a once favorite book or the advice of a good friend or the inspirations you thought of yourself when you were in a thinking mood. And you are on the verge of going back to old habits, old thoughts, old emotions and things you once gave up but are now beckoning you with all the colors of temptation. These are times when you need to go back to your roots- the books that gave you strength once or the friend whose advice was so dear to you or an  inspirational reading.

I have a chocolate craving now almost every day, when I had almost cured it by the end of November. Fortunately the love for sweets has not yet returned.

Debbie from talkingtomyweightlosscounselor-god, wrote a post yesterday, which inspired this post.

I was inspired to take down…

Los Angeles with my girls!

Travel adventures across the World!!!

I have always wanted to take a trip just with my girlfriends and finally after a long wait this did happen on our recent trip to LA. We all studied together from high school in India and never imaged we would plan a trip after twelve long years, now that we all are in US. All four of us traveled to LA from different parts of US. All we did was eat, shop, walk and talk. Los Angeles is such a huge city and we spent all four days exploring the different neighborhoods. I particularly fell in love with the food and the people in LA. Every restaurant we ate was both healthy and delicious at the same time. People seemed to be very carefree and easy-going. Here are bits and pieces of our trip broken down day wise!

Day 1 – We spent our first day exploring the Venice…
